SEO discipline

Off-Page SEO

Off-page is where the industry's worst practices live, because it is the part you cannot do alone. What other sites and sources say about you carries weight precisely because you do not control it — which is also why the shortcuts are so tempting and so damaging.

What actually moves the needle

Corroboration over links

For generative retrieval, an unlinked mention in a frequently-cited publication can outweigh a link from a domain nothing cites. The link is one form of corroboration, not the only one.

Relevance beats authority score

A link from a small site genuinely about your subject is worth more than a high-scoring link from an unrelated one. Domain metrics are vendor inventions, not engine signals.

Entity consistency

Your name, description and category being the same everywhere is what lets a system resolve you as one entity rather than several similar strings.

Earned coverage

Slower, unpurchasable, and the only kind that compounds. A few authentic references a month outrun a hundred bought ones.

Reviews as description

For most businesses, reviews are the largest body of independent text about them. That is a retrieval input, not just a persuasion asset.

Widely taught, and wrong

Each of these is still repeated in guides and sold in packages.

  • Buy links to rank faster

A documented penalty risk, and the cheapest way to make a domain harder to recover than it was before. We decline this work.

  • Domain Authority is a Google metric

It is a third-party vendor score. Useful as a rough comparison, meaningless as a target, and no engine uses it.

  • More links is better

A supplier quoting a monthly link count is selling a number. That commitment creates pressure to source links wherever they can be found.

  • Guest posting at scale

Detectable and devalued when the posts exist only to carry a link. A genuine contribution to a publication that would have accepted it anyway is different.

How this site does it

We publish our GEO measurement methodology in full, including the parts that make our own results harder to overstate — sample counts, question sets fixed in advance, and what we refuse to guarantee. That is corroboration you can check rather than a claim you have to accept.

We publish the craft because knowing what to do and having the systems to do it consistently are different problems. If you would rather have it executed than implemented in-house, that is what Digital PR is for.

Strategy Call

See Exactly Where You Stand.

Every relationship starts with intelligence, not a proposal. A strategy call gives you a clear picture of your AI visibility, search authority, and competitive gaps — and a realistic view of what is achievable.
