GEO & AI Search
How long does GEO take?
Access fixes can show within weeks because they lift a block. Entity resolution takes weeks to months as sources update. Corroboration compounds over months and is the slowest and most durable part. Nobody can promise a citation on a date — retrieval is model-mediated and can change without notice.
The sequence matters more than the total. A blocked retrieval agent makes every other investment invisible, so it is corrected first and can move quickly. An unresolved entity means systems cannot describe you with confidence, and correcting that depends partly on third parties updating their records.
External corroboration is the slow layer. A few authentic references per month compound into something a competitor cannot purchase quickly — which is exactly why it takes time.
We re-sample monthly against a fixed question set and report variation within a period alongside variation between periods. A movement smaller than the noise is not a result, and we say so.
