SEO

What is an SEO-friendly website?

One where a crawler can reach the page, render its substance, and understand what it is about — decided at build time rather than retrofitted. Most sites described as SEO-friendly have a plugin installed and a rendering problem nobody has checked for.

Three things determine it. Reachability: no blocked agent, no rendering that hides the content from a crawler that does not execute JavaScript. Clarity: one page, one intent, with a structure that resolves to a topic and an entity. Extractability: passages that stand alone, because retrieval works at passage level.

URL structure and internal linking are decided before templates are built. Changing them later means redirects and lost equity, which is why retrofitting costs several times what deciding correctly would have.

A plugin manages titles and meta descriptions. It does not fix an architecture that was never designed to be found.
