GEO & AI Search
How do I choose a GEO agency?
Ask three things: how many samples an answer-share claim rests on, whether the question set was fixed before results were seen, and which findings they consider correlational. A firm without precise answers is measuring screenshots.
Generated answers are non-deterministic — the same question produces different text and different citations from one run to the next. Any visibility claim built on a single observation is an anecdote. Ask how many samples, across how many days, on how many platforms.
Ask whether the question set was agreed and frozen before measurement. A set chosen after seeing which questions performed well is a selection effect, not a result.
Ask what they refuse to guarantee. The honest list includes citations, rankings and dates. Ask also whether any independent audit validates the tracking tool they use — to our knowledge, none has been published for the tools currently on the market, and a firm claiming otherwise should be asked for the citation.
