Generative engines draw on the open web — so organic authority and AI visibility move together. Here is how that plays out in real client work.

What these figures are

The numbers below are organic search results, reported from each client's own analytics. They are not measured AI citations. We separate the two deliberately, because conflating them is the most common way this category overstates itself.

The connection is real but indirect. Generative engines retrieve from the open web, and Microsoft Copilot draws on Bing's index — so the technical foundations that produce organic growth are the same ones that make a site retrievable and citable. A site that cannot be crawled, whose entity does not resolve, and whose substance is not extractable will underperform on both surfaces for the same reasons.

That makes organic performance a reasonable leading indicatorof AI visibility. It is not a substitute for measuring it. Answer share and citation share are sampled separately, on a fixed question set, against a baseline established before any work begins — the method is published in full on our GEO methodology page.

What we do not claim. None of these engagements included a guarantee of AI citations, rankings or dates, because no vendor controls those outcomes. Client names are anonymised at their request. Every figure is reported from the client's analytics, not our estimate.
