SEO
What is technical SEO?
Technical SEO is the work of making a site reliably crawlable, indexable and fast — site architecture, internal linking, structured data, Core Web Vitals, canonicalisation and redirect integrity. It rarely wins rankings on its own, but its absence reliably prevents everything else from working.
It is best understood as removing obstacles. Content cannot rank on pages engines cannot reach or resolve. Authority cannot flow through a broken internal link structure. A migration without redirect mapping discards equity that took years to earn.
It also underpins AI visibility. Retrieval systems need content in parseable text with structured data that matches what is visible on the page — Google's guidance is explicit on that last point.
